Beware of Fraudulent Hiring Events & Job Scams

There has been a recent increase in job fair and recruiting scams including those posing as Goodwill Southern Rivers (GoodwillSR). According to the Federal Trade Commision (FTC), scammers advertise job fairs and job openings the same way legitimate organizations do — online (in ads, on job sites, and social media), in newspapers, and sometimes on TV and radio. Their ultimate goal appears to be scamming unsuspecting individuals out of money and/or gathering their personal information.

    2. GoodwillSR NEVER posts its hiring events on Eventbrite.
